Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has lost a brother within weeks after his mother died. Mr. Duale’s older brother, Dubow Barre Duale, died yesterday due to a road accident. The accident occurred on the Mwingi -Garissa road on Sunday morning. Photos posted to social media shows the Toyota Harrier Dubow Barre Duale was driving mangled while sitting on thorny bushes.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, although it is thought that the driver of the SUV was speeding at the time of the accident.
Mzee Dubow Barre Duale was a former army officer who turned to business upon his retirement. He was a well known law-abiding citizen in the whole of Garissa Town where he lived.
Several leaders have sent their condolences to Aden Duale and the rest of the Duale family during this difficult grieving times. Deputy President William Ruto mourned the late as a ‘distinguished businessman and devoted advocate for peace who will be remembered for his fresh ideas that transformed many lives”

In late August this year, Aden Duale lost his mother Hawa Kosar Shurie. Aden Duale’s mother died while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital. She was 90 years old at the time of her death.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and other leaders in the Jubilee Party attended her funeral. The President mourned Mama Hawa Kosar Shurie as a humble, hardworking and devoted woman of God whose wise counsel shall be dearly missed.
The Jubilee Party also stood with Duale’s family sending the condolences message to the Garissa Township MP.
“The Jubilee Party condoles with Garissa Township MP Hon. Aden Duale & his family following the demise of his dear mother – Mama Hawa Kosar Shaurie,” their message read.
“May the Almighty God provide strength & comfort as they come to terms with the painful loss. May Mama Hawa rest in eternal peace,” it continued
